Abscess Details

An abscess is a pus filled cavity caused by bacterial infection. Abscess can develop in any part of body, in skin around anus (Perianal abscess) or within the breast or sometimes in internal organs like liver.

Treatment involves surgical incision and drainage followed by dressing and oral antibiotics medications. Abscess in ano rectal region sometimes develop into Fistula. Kshar sutra treatment is recommended in such cases.
